A piece we played at our spring concert with Senior Orchestra and Symphonic Band combined.

Music of the Week
Returned, at last! Yes, I know you've all been missing your weekly dose of classical music!
Maybe not. But, anyway; here it is, probably one of my favorite songs that Senior is doing this season.
It's even more beautiful (the first half, anyway, which is all that we're playing) played slowly so one can hear all the cool stuff that the violins are doing, but the cellos would probably all die, and then revolt.

Music of the Week
We sight-read through this entire piece last night. It was sheer terror, I'm telling you.
(And this is just the first movement. There're three more that we had to do.)

Music of the Week
(I have to admit, when the Greek and Roman stuff showed up, I started laughing. Supposedly the person used them because they are tall and impressive, 'cause those people didn't know much about freedom. This video was better than most of the others, though.)

Oh, and for those of you that commented on "From the Edge of the Falls", I have given up trying to add a comment of my own in reply. Every time I try, the blog escorts me to the horrible Land of the White Screen, and refuses to let me continue. Therefore, I shall reply right here:
LE (G): Yes, the little details were the most important to me. I could go on and on about them, but there isn't enough space on the blog to contain them all. :p
B: I can't believe that I got thrown up on either! It was so completely unexpected. I guess I can laugh about it now...but at the time....we were rather appalled. Ew.
And thank you. I have several more pictures, but it takes so long to upload them...maybe I will at some later date. Now I wish I had gotten more, but I was too lazy to dig my camera out all the time, and in some places we weren't allowed to takes pictures because of copyright reasons.
