Poetry

New poem:

      Best Friends

We wandered the world
The daring dreamers
Adventures untold
No want of deceivers

Bonded by trials
We held out our own
Weary exiles
By darkness overthrown

When darkness had passed
We smiled in the sunlight
Only to be cast
Back into the night

And though we learned
To sing through the storm
Always we yearned
For light’s returning morn

Once we came through
The fire and the tempest
Finally tried and true
We conquered our test

Even though now
We must part our ways
I can’t imagine how
We'll separately end our days

We are sisters at heart
We stood the entire way through
Though our hands may fall apart
I swear I won't forget you.
