I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us---don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!
~~~ Emily Dickinson
I learned that poem last year in school! She wrote it after she learned that the man she loved was married...poor girl! :(
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorites :) And I didn't know that she wrote it after that...it fits well, though, poor Emily.
